Her passion for this work became deeply personal in 2021 when her brother contracted COVID-19. After enduring a 104-degree fever for four days, he developed multiple blood clots, one of which caused a massive stroke. Although he survived, he was left permanently disabled and unable to work, leaving him and his wife to navigate an uncertain financial future while raising their daughter. That experience forever changed Teresa's perspective. She realized that surviving a crisis isn't just about recovering physically, it's also about being financially prepared for what comes next.
Growing up in the Hispanic community, Teresa witnessed firsthand the financial education gap that exists for many families. She understands that too many people never have the opportunity to learn the financial principles that can transform the course of generations.
